When you receive your kit make sure you have the following:
1 large upper tray, 1 medium upper tray.
2 containers of putty (1base putty, 1 white catalyst putty).
3 business cards.
GETTING STARTED!
1. READ all of the instructions
carefully, remember you only have "ONE" chance to get it right!!! so please read.
2. Remove the white and colored putty from the packages provided. You will
notice that they are equal amounts. Fig. 1.
Fig. 1
3. Determine which size tray you should use. If your mouth is large and the tray is slightly difficult
to place into the mouth then it is the correct tray. You want the back of the tray extending past your first set of
teeth. Your teeth should follow the pattern in red. If your teeth are in the blue area then the impression tray is not
large enough, go to the next size.
FIG. 2
4. Use all of the putty to fill the tray (remember you are using
equal parts). The putty should
be soft and there should be no plain white color showing through. The
putty changes into a different color but do not pay attention to this,
start kneading it at a fast, steady pace, it should only take about 7
seconds make sure you do not mix for too long because it will
harden on you very quickly. Do not leave the mix, go straight
into step 5.
5. Place the putty in the tray. See Fig. 3
and Fig. 4.

6. Make sure that you do not have particles of food , i.e. brush and floss prior to taking the impression.
Place the tray all the way into the mouth and press up firmly, "DO NOT BITE DOWN ON THE TRAY"but make sure you press the tray
upward/downward until the inside bottom of the tray barely touches the tips of your teeth.
Make sure your lip goes on the outside of the tray, this is very
important!!! Allow the tray to sit in the mouth for approximately 2
minutes. When removing the tray, pull straight down, if you do not let the tray sit long enough you will create drag marks along the gum line.
Note: The bad impression has no gum line and the top of the tray is showing.
Note: The good impression extends up to the piece of skin that attaches the lip to the gum
